Corporate Padel: How to Organise a Team-Building Event in Spain

Padel has quietly become the team-building activity of choice for European companies. It is competitive enough to be exciting, accessible enough that even non-sporty colleagues can participate, and social enough that bonds are built naturally over the course of a day. If you are planning a corporate event in Spain, here is how to organise it properly.

Why Padel Works for Corporate Groups

Most traditional team-building activities fall into one of two traps: either they are so physically demanding that half the group opts out, or they are so passive (escape rooms, cooking classes) that the competitive energy never builds. Padel sits in a unique middle ground:

  • No experience required: Most participants will never have played padel. That levels the playing field — the fastest learner is not necessarily the senior manager.
  • Always doubles: Padel forces collaboration. You win or lose with a partner, not alone.
  • Short, high-energy points: Unlike a 90-minute football match, padel points are fast. Energy stays high throughout the day.
  • Social atmosphere: Courts are small and enclosed. You hear, see and interact with your colleagues constantly.
  • Easy to scale: Works equally well for a team of 8 and a group of 40. Format adjusts to size.

Programme Options

Half-Day Event (4 hours)

Ideal for a company day out or client entertainment. Includes a skills session led by a certified coach (everyone learns the basics together), a round-robin mini-tournament with mixed teams, and a post-play lunch or drinks. Groups of 8–20 people.

Full-Day Event (7–8 hours)

The most popular corporate format. Morning coaching clinic, lunch break, afternoon tournament with semi-finals and a proper final. Prize ceremony and dinner included. Creates a full narrative arc — competition, camaraderie, celebration. Groups of 12–40 people.

Multi-Day Retreat (2–3 days)

For companies that want a proper off-site retreat. Combines professional coaching with genuine improvement, team dinners, day trips and optional group activities (boat trips, Girona city tour). Lodging in handpicked hotels. Ideal for leadership teams, sales kickoffs or annual retreats. Groups from 10 to 30+.

Client insight: The most common feedback from corporate groups is that padel creates unexpected peer relationships — the IT intern who turns out to be a natural padel player ends up partnering with the CEO. That kind of social levelling is hard to engineer in a boardroom.

How Mixed Skill Levels Are Handled

This is the most common concern for event organisers. The solution is straightforward: Padel & Go coaches assess the group in the first 20–30 minutes of the skills session and create balanced mixed-ability pairings for the tournament. This means:

  • Strong players are paired with weaker players
  • Tournament brackets are seeded so close matches happen at every level
  • No one feels out of their depth or bored

We have run events with groups from absolute beginners (never held a racket) to club players — everyone leaves having had a proper competition.

What Is Included in a Corporate Package
